Sri Lankans from all walks of life and all corners of their country occupied public spaces in the capital, Colombo, despite lack of resources and transportation.
All were incensed by the government’s mismanagement of every aspect of economic, political and social Sri Lankan life.
Against all odds they managed to drive the incompetent and corrupt government out of the country – only to have the parliament install a crony of the departed government as president.
The situation is dire: the country is completely out of money to purchase fuel, food and other necessities.
