In past shows, the Perpetual Notion Machine has focused a lot on the dangers present in our Yahara lakes system. In tonight’s episode, we look beyond our backyard to the Great Lakes themselves. So, PNM’s Lincoln Tice talks with Peter McIntyre, Associate Professor and limnologist at UW-Madison’s Center for Limnology. He researches the ecology, evolution, and conservation of aquatic ecosystems, focusing on fishes and vertebrates. And he studies how human interactions, such as climate change, affect these ecosystems. In their conversation, Peter provides general and specific conditions effecting various lakes.
