Earlier today, Governor Tony Evers announced that one of the key provisions for his forthcoming biennial state budget will be lowering prescription drug costs for Wisconsinites. The announcement comes about two weeks before the governor is set to unveil his full 2021-2023 budget.
His plan is based heavily on the work of a state Task Force on Reducing Prescription Drug Prices, which spent most of last year drafting the proposals.
For more on the budget recommendations, WORT Producer Jonah Chester spoke with State Rep. Lisa Subeck (D-Madison) who serves as a member of the task force.
