Earlier today, the U.S. Supreme Court announced it would be hearing a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade — the 1973 supreme court case that protects the right to seek an abortion.
The court’s nine justices — six of whom now lean conservative — are considering Mississippi’s ban on the procedure after fifteen weeks of pregnancy.
The court’s decision, which Politico reports will likely come next summer, will have ripple effects throughout the nation — including here in Wisconsin.
