In this episode of Subtle Desi Traits, host Ankita Bharadwaj talks to one of Wisconsin’s most prominent South Asian political and strategical leader: Sachin K Chheda.
Together, they dissect the role South Asians play in local, state, and national elections, and discuss the importance of more South Asians running for elections at every level and what needs to be done to prepare and encourage the South Asian youth to be more civically engaged. They also analyze 2022 midterms, and look ahead to the Wisconsin Supreme Court election this spring and the 2024 presidential election.
Sachin Chheda is a political consultant working in the Milwaukee area. He has worked for Democratic Party and progressive candidates and organizations since 1992. He is a partner at Nation Consulting LLC, a local firm with clients at the local, state and federal levels of government.
