What’s happening with honey bees?
For the past 10 years, scientists have been studying the process of colony collapse disorder (CCD), where honey bee colonies suddenly die off. U.W. researcher Sainath Subyanarayanan has studied this phenomenon and co-authored a book, Vanishing Bees: Science, Politics, and Honeybee Health (Nature, Society, and Culture) which discusses the multifactorial process of CCD.
