For today’s book club show, Tuesday host Ali Muldrow spends a joyful hour with writer and voice actor Tajja Isen discussing her new book, Some of My Best Friends: Essays on Lip Service.
“It’s not a book that’s interested in call-outs or shaming,” says Tajja. She talks about how she infused the book with humor and pleasure while tackling important topics about racial justice, her choice of the phrase “some of my best friends” and its history, her experience voice acting, and more.
Tajja Isen will be in Madison tonight (Tuesday, April 26) for an in-person event with the Wisconsin Book Festival at 7 PM at the Madison Public Library’s Central Library (201 West Mifflin Street). More information available here.
