Last week, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a special report on climate change, land management, and food security. One of the take-away messages is that we need to change how we do things—and quickly—to secure our future on this planet.
The findings of the report are urgent, but it’s not all doom and gloom. Today, Ali is joined in the studio by local youth activists Max Prestigiacomo and Sophie Guthier to discuss sustainable solutions to the climate crisis. And to round out the hour, she talks to Diana Ruiz, senior palm oil campaigner, about her work with Greenpeace USA and what we can do as individuals to mitigate climate change and build a sustainable future.
The transition track is “The 1975” by The 1975 and teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg.
