Sidran is a jazz pianist and recording artist with 35 solo albums, lyricist of a rock classic, record and video producer, and award-winning broadcaster. He’s also author of four books, Black Talk, A Life in the Music (1971), Talking Jazz: An Oral History (1995), There Was a Fire: Jews, Music, and the American Dream (2012), and A Life in the Music (2015).
