70 percent of teen moms are survivors of sexual abuse, often with their first children being a result of that abuse. Instead of being met with love and support, most teen moms are met with judgement and are shamed for their choice to have their child and raise them. This month, Lilada will focus on Black Motherhood, discussing its various aspects and societal impacts that Black mothers are facing in Madison and around the nation.
