We are in the second week of the government shutdown, which means we are getting closer to the possibility that the United States will default on its debt. On Friday October 11th, our host Esty Dinur was joined in-studio with Mary Bottari, Center for Media and Democracy‘s Deputy Director, to break apart the government shutdown and to take a closer look at who the key players are.
Over the course of the show, Dinur and Bottari analyzed how big corporations and how the role of groups like the Koch brothers are affecting the shutdown. Dinur and Bottari also discussed the real costs of what’s going on and what might happen as this continues.
