Pop open the bubbly—it’s time to celebrate the achievements of our community! For her annual Happy Show, Carousel catches up with local leaders and organizations about all the good work they’ve been doing this year.
First, we hear from Aaron Bird Bear (assistant dean of student diversity programs) and Omar Poler (American Indian curriculum services coordinator) from the UW–Madison School of Education to discuss the tremendous success of the First Nations Cultural Landscape Tour. Next, we catch up with Keith Reopelle, director of the Dane County Office of Energy and Climate Change, to discuss climate change and sustainability. We also get happy updates from Vicky Selkowe, legislative and compliance director with Legal Action of Wisconsin, and Rasheid Atlas, director of employment services and transit at YWCA Madison. Wrapping up the hour, we feature Jolynne Roorda (visual and performing arts director) and Rita Mae Reese (literary arts director) of Arts + Literature Laboratory.
