If you think of the giants of musical technological innovation in the twentieth century, you might think of names like Robert Moog, Leo Fender, Les Paul or even Leon Theremin. How about Daisuke Inoue? Does that name ring a bell? Inoue brought us the gift… some might call it a curse… of karaoke way back in 1969. Alexis Madrigal wrote a recent retrospective on Daisuke Inoue for the Atlantic, and Alexis joined Monday Buzz host Brian Standing by phone on December 23 to tell the story.
