When Rachel Carson published Silent Spring in 1962, the American public largely woke up to environmental concerns in industry and agriculture and the increasing need for conservation. Host Patty Peltekos spoke with biologist, author, and cancer survivor Sandra Steingraber about the legacy of Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring. Ms. Steingraber will be giving a talk on the subject in Madison tonight, at the Elvehjem Building at 800 University Avenue, Room L160, 7:30 pm.
