On the Monday, August 26th A Public Affair, host John Quinlan was joined by Sharyl Kato. For over 30 years, Sharyl has led the Rainbow Project, a group that works to prevent and treat childhood sexual abuse. She is also an advocate for programs working on behalf of greater cultural understanding and civil rights, including the Wisconsin Women of Color Network, Madison-Obihiro, Japan Sister City Project and Madison’s Affirmative Action Coalition. Kato discussed her involvement in these organizations and current initiatives – including the Rhumba 4 Rainbow Fundraiser upcoming September 27th.
