On this Thanksgiving special, new Perpetual Notion Machine host Robert W Monthey explores the restocking of wild turkeys in Wisconsin–with some special guests from the field.
His guest is Patrick Kaiser, a retired biologist and former Wildlife Manager with the Wisconsin DNR.
Robert says the idea for the interview was sparked by his family farm in Columbia County, one of the locations the Department of Natural Resources let turkeys go in 1988. That process led him and his family to become friends with Patrick, then a Wildlife Manager with the Wisconsin DNR.
So today we look at details of the wild turkey re-stock, and the history behind wild turkeys we now have in Wisconsin.
