Stephen J. Pyne is a Regents Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University. He has published over thirty books, most of them dealing with fire, but others on Antarctica, the Grand Canyon, and the Voyager mission. His most recent publication is Between Two Fires: A Fire History of Contemporary America (University of Arizona Press, 2015).
