Tonight on Dave Watts‘ Blues Cruise, “Professor” Bill Clark will be playing a set of recordings by “The Boss of the Blues”, Big Joe Turner. This was selected to placate guest dj, “the G-Man”, Mr. George P. Dreckmann and will air Friday March 22 on radio station WORT-FM, 89.9 on your Madison radio dial from 6 to 8 in the evening and at WORTFM.org on the web, live at the same time and archived for the next two weeks. Shows are saved for two weeks before the evidence is destroyed.
Following Blues Cruise, it’s the Rattlesnake Shake featuring live music between 9-10 pm by local rockers Clean Room at 9 pm central time during DJ Sal Serpentine’s show. They did a short but hot set last year on Who Cooks For You? with The Real Jaguar, so be sure to tune in for a listen as CLEAN ROOM returns to WORT FM TONIGHT!
Next up, Gregg Williard entertains with Fiction Jones from 11 pm-midnight, reading original works of speculative fiction live on the air. At midnight, this week’s guest host of Petrichor Radio is once again Les Luster, aka “EQ Guy” filling in with his Les Luster’s Rock Show.
And on Saturday night March 23, WORT airs another tribute to Wrecking Crew member and famous session musician Hal Blaine from 6-8 pm on I Like It Like That. Rockin’ John says “If you can’t wait until then for my Hal Blaine Special, you can go to the WORT-FM archive and listen to Harry Rag‘s Hal Blaine Special from Friday night, March 15.”
