Tonight, representatives from Madison Fruits and Nuts discuss what it takes to implement and run a public fruit orchard on community property. A representative of Bock Community Garden will provide an update on the fruit and nut trees that were planted there in 2010 as part of a Fruit Tree Planting Foundation Grant project. This Sunday is a Winter Bird Walk at the UW Arboretum. Returning birds often arrive in February, and on Sunday’s walk, you’ll look for red-winged blackbirds, bluebirds, robins, and more.
