Today’s guest is Professor Timothy Yu to talk about Asian American writers, the controversy over Calvin Trillin’s Chinese food poem in the New Yorker, and his new book of poetry, 100 Chinese Silences.
Timothy Yu is of English and Asian American studies, as well as the director of the Asian American Studies Program at UW-Madison. His other book, Race and the Avant-Garde: Experimental and Asian American Poetry since 1965 won the Book Award in Literary Studies from the Association for Asian American Studies.
