With Bus Rapid Transit now just around the corner, Madison officials are looking for ways to make the city more pedestrian friendly.
One idea? A new overlay district that would alter zoning laws to bring more housing to Madison’s public transit corridors.
Grant Foster is the alder of Madison’s 15th District, and one of the sponsors on the ordinance to create the new TOD districts. The ordinance will go before the city’s planning commission next week, before going to the full council for a final vote in January.
