Homeless advocates say Madison laundromat shut their doors rather than serve them
If you needed a laundromat near Willy Street this morning, you were out of luck. The Parktowne Laundries was closed without warning today.
Advocates for homeless people say they think it was because they were headed over to use the machines there.
The founder of the non-profit program Project Bubbles, which pays for washers and dryers at laundromats for people who need assistance cleaning their clothing, is concerned and says such an action would be discriminatory.
