At some point between last Thursday, November 5th, and Monday, November 9th, someone cut down and stole a 25-foot rare pine tree from the University of Wisconsin Arboretum.
The theft of the $13,000 tree has caused many questions. Namely, if the perpetrators knew the value of the pine, then why was its twin — located just a short distance away — unharmed?
