This afternoon, the Water Utility Board will hold a special public meeting to discuss Madison Water Utility’s 2015 rate case. Discussion will likely focus on a planned conservation rate for residential customers. The Board heard a presentation on a new possible rate structure at its November meeting but requested more information before voting on the plan. Information to be presented at the December 23rd meeting includes alternative rate proposals with incremental blocks, lower tiers, and a demographic analysis.
