Today in 1917: Montana elects Republican Jeanette Rankin as the first woman to sit in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Rankin voted against American entry into both world wars, and later led marches against the Vietnam war.

Saturday, March 22nd, is the 2014 Wisconsin Grassroots Festival, with George Lakoff, John Nichols, Mike McCabe and Lisa Graves, and 21 breakout sessions.
