Up to citizens to advocate for the environment

With the science department of the Wisconsin DNR nearly gutted by the Walker administration, more must be done to monitor environmental insults to Wisconsin’s nature — that, according to Kimberly Wright from the Midwest Environmental Advocates. That group’s responsibility is to aid citizen groups advocating for maintaining environmental standards for water, chemicals, and toxins — to nature and people. They are currently part of a group petitioning the EPA to investigate the failure of WI DNR to act.
