Upcoming program specials:
“ANTECEDENTS OF PUNK 1970 -1976” with
JAMIE THE CRAWLIN’ THERAPIST AND BILL
THE WALKIN’ DOCTOR. on WORT 89.9 FM
FRIDAY SEPT. 2, 8-11 PM
On July 4th, 1976, The Ramones played The Roundhouse in London &, famously, inspired every 10th loser in the room to go back home on the tube &, w/lightbulb hovering over their head, start a band. And Punk, as they say, was ignited. But what was going on in that vast corporate Rock wasteland previous to then? Who was it that did their utmost to keep things un-snorelike? You are invited to tune in to Beat Orgy this Fri, Sept 2nd on WORT 89.9-fm Madison, @ 8pm Central, as Jamie The Crawling Therapist, along with Bill The Walkin’ Dr, attempts to shed light on this utterly vital cultural issue. Compare notes at your peril.

D.J. el Serpentine will be producing a special program: the Tommy Bolin 40th Anniversary of “Private Eyes” Special!
Says Serpentine: “I just interviewed Mark Stein (Vanilla Fudge) and so the final piece of the puzzle is in place. It will be three hours of Tommy Bolin music and interviews regarding what was happening in 1976 with Tommy’s career and the creation of the music on “Private Eyes”.
