Isis Hunter was like other high school seniors, except she worked at Wendy’s for 50 hours a week. The Wasau native worked at a branch that couldn’t keep new hires because of its lack of a living wage — a full dollar short compared to similar jobs. After months of increased demands and corporate neglect, she and her coworkers reached a breaking point, so they all staged a walkout.
Listen to hear the full story about corporate exploitation and workers who stood up for their dignity in a non-unionized industry.
