Governor Tony Evers will deliver his 2020 State of the State Address tonight, January 22. In his address, the Governor will reflect on legislation in 2019 and will lay out his legislative priorities for 2020.
Excerpts of the Governor’s speech released this morning touch on student debt, nonpartisan redistricting, investment in rural communities, youth vaping, capping the cost of insulin, closing the dark store loophole and addressing PFAS contamination in water.
The address will begin at 7pm. Following the speech, there will be a five-minute Republican response, to be delivered by State Senate President Roger Roth of Appleton.
