Today Karma Chavez talks with Sean Avery, Sara McKinnon and T. Banks about their upcoming performance, “We the 350: Poverty, Racism and Incarceration in Wisconsin,” which will take place in Promenade Hall at the Overture Center November 7-8.
The 45-minute production, written by McKinnon and Banks, is a narrative-based performance exploring themes of racism, poverty, and incarceration in Wisconsin.
The event is sponsored by the Young Gifted & Black Coalition, UW-Madison’s Comparative US Studies and Overture Center’s Community Arts Access Program.
