Growing up in Davis, California, Blair Braverman dreamed of ice, snow and the northern lights. In her teens, she spent a year in Norway with her family, returned as an exchange student in Lillehammer, studied dogsledding in the Norwegian arctic, ran a museum in Mortenhals, Norway and worked as a tour guide on an Alaskan glacier. She lives now in the Town of Mountain in Oconto County, Wisconsin, where she is a competitive dogsledder. She’ll be reading from her memoir “Welcome to the Goddamned Ice Cube.”
