WORT is delighted to bring six groundbreaking bands to the 40th annual Willy Street Fair, including the celebrated Nobunny (pictured)!! WORT’s Underground Stage will be a not-to-miss scene from noon until around 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Here’s the lineup and description of bands and WORT DJs performing:

- Seasaw – 12 noon – Eve Wilczewski and Meg Golz is the pop/indie-rock duo and this is their last public performance before hitting the studio to record their next album.
- DJ Cardinal Din of “Feed Me Weird Things”- 12:50 pm.
- Disq – 1:10 pm – Isthmus describes the band as “a dreamy power-pop act that sounds like a more psychedelic version of Pinkerton-era Weezer.”
- DJ Bo$$ Lady of “Universal Soul Explosion” – 2 pm.
- 3rd Dimension – 2:20 pm. The band is a Hip-Hop collective that has collaborated with such artists as Supa BWE and Mick Jenkins.
- DJs Rev. Velveteen & Bad Sister Heidi of “Psychoacoustics” – 3:10 pm.
- Beefus – 3:30 pm. With five albums behind them already, Beefus is a quirky rock band with an electrified lead banjo band that describes themselves as having a “thunderous beat and heavy bruising banjology…a band of miscreants and mental midgets.”
- DJ The Other Mr. S – 4:20 pm.
- The 99ers – 4:40 pm. The UK e-zine, Punked, features the band in its current issue and writes this: “Without a question or a shadow of a doubt, Minneapolis’ The 99ers deliciously glorious fusion of 50’s rockabilly-rock ‘n’ roll, 60’s surf and 70’s pop-punk sets them far apart from many of their present day contemporaries.”
- DJ The Real Jaguar – 5:30 pm.
- Nobunny – 5:50 pm. Hailing from Chicago, Nobunny is known for mixing lo-fi garage punk with bubblegum pop and power pop. The band has named The Ramones, Hasil Adkins and The Cramps as being influences on their music. Live shows are melodic yet chaotic bacchanals, a perfect way to end a perfect Willy St. Fair day!!
