Lovers of music and the environment are in for a treat this weekend — environmental organization Honor the Earth is bringing the fifth annual “Love Water Not Oil” tour to Madison to benefit renewable energy efforts on Sunday.
Madison will also be the jumping off point for a group of Native Americans who are riding horses up the state to Superior in response to a proposed Enbridge pipeline extension.
Included in that group is executive director of Honor the Earth, Winona LaDuke. She’s led anti-pipeline efforts in South Dakota and in her native Minnesota.
WORT’s Nina Kravinsky spoke to LaDuke earlier today.
