The governor’s race wasn’t the only thing on the ballot yesterday. Voters also chose candidates to advance to the general election for the state legislature, and voted for State Senator Leah Vukmir to take on US Senator Tammy Baldwin in the fall. She beat out Marine Corps veteran Kevin Nicholson.
Voters also chose former Milwaukee State Representative Mandela Barnes as the Democratic Lieutenant Governor nominee; he’ll run on the ticket with Evers. Voters also chose Republican Travis Hartwig and Democrat Sarah Godlewski to run against each other for the Office of State Treasurer in the fall.
For analysis of all those races and more, we turn to Wispolitics.com’s JR Ross. Nina Kravinsky caught up with him earlier today.
