Charlie Daniel, Kristin Larson and Patricia Wilson of the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance joined Aaron Perry on the Tuesday, July 16th Buzz to discuss the impacts of this disease and how to recognize it. They are especially interested in outreach to African American communities, who have a higher chance of contracting the disease and a lower chance of being diagnosed.
All three staff of the Alliance discussed specifically what you can do, including the organization’s focus on education for the diagnosed and their caregivers. They discussed the importance to reach out to the support resources such as those provided through the WI Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance.
In addition, they discussed upcoming Alzheimer’s walks to raise money for the organization and Alzheimer’s research.
