Yesterday, Attorney General Josh Kaul formally rescinded an order that banned the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources from monitoring and studying the state’s high-capacity wells. The wells, which are commonly used on industrial-scale farms, can drain and harm the state’s waterways.
But, the order was just the first step towards returning administration of the wells over to the DNR.
Earlier today, WORT Producer Jonah Chester sat down with Evan Feinauer, staff attorney with Clean Wisconsin to get the background on the order and what’s next for the DNR.
