Over the past several months, Wisconsin’s Republican lawmakers and Governor Tony Evers have repeatedly butted heads on how to spend the state’s cut of federal pandemic relief aid.
Per federal guidance, that money is largely at the sole discretion of the governor. But that hasn’t stopped Wisconsin’s Republican lawmakers from attempting to dictate spending priorities to the governor.
