Forty-three percent of registered voters say they will vote for Governor Tony Evers, while 44 percent say they will vote for Republican candidate Tim Michels.
This is from the latest Marquette Law School poll, and it once again proves Wisconsin’s governor race will be a close one. The poll released today, Nov.2, is also the last one to be released before election day on Nov. 8.
The poll also found Sen. Ron Johnson ahead by two percent over Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes. The margin of error for this poll is 5 percent.
The issues of greatest concern to voters were led by inflation, followed by education, crime and accurate vote counting. Although the recent Supreme Court decision was viewed unfavorably by a wide margin of voters, abortion was fairly low on the list of major concerns.
On education, 63 percent of voters support increased funding for public schools and only 29 percent support increased support of private schools.
