Joining Tony Castaneda in the studio on March 14, 2013 for the 8 O’Clock Buzz was Jane Madrigal. Jane Madrigal is a graphic artist who specializes in wood prints. She is one of the artists involved in “An International Celebration Of Women Through Art.”
“Inspired by International Women’s Day, the spring showcase features the struggles and empowerment of women. Exhibiting are Dr. Lilian Nabulime, a sculptor from Uganda whose work promotes awareness about HIV/AIDS; Michael Kienitz, a photographer whose images document female microfinance borrowers and coffee farmers in Latin America; and Jane Madrigal, a Chicana artist whose woodcut prints focus on revolutionary women.”
