The second WORT Record Riot will rock Madison this Saturday, November 14th, from 12:00 noon till 4:00 p.m. Hosted by the High Noon Saloon, 701 East Washington Avenue, this special WORT benefit allows collectors to browse vinyl LPs, EPs & singles to their heart’s content. Admission is free & open to music fans of all ages.
Our first ever Record Riot, in March, raised over $1,200 for the station. It also allowed local private vinyl vendors to sell records in all imaginable genres to collectors. We’re back at it again, offering the the best stuff culled from WORT’s vast vinyl music library.
There will also be oodles of discs donated by generous listener-sponsors. If you’d like to donate your vinyl to WORT, or if you’d like to participate as a vendor, please contact Aaron Scholz at musicass@wortfm.org or call 608-256-2001.
Music will be provided by WORT DJs, including El Serpentine. The fine folks at the High Noon Saloon will, of course, be on hand to serve liquid refreshments.
