Even before the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade earlier this summer, youth under age 18 already had limited options when it came to reproductive health and abortion access.
As part of her reproductive justice series, host Ali Muldrow speaks with pediatrician Dr. Tracey Wilkinson and legal expert Rebecca Wang about the importance of giving teens and young people autonomy over their bodies and health.
Dr. Tracey Wilkinson is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Indiana University’s School of Medicine. Her research focuses on improving young people’s access to reproductive health services from the perspective of a general pediatrician.
Rebecca Wang, J.D. is legal support counsel at If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice. She helped to launch the organization’s Judicial Bypass Wiki, which offers a wealth of information on parental involvement laws.
